Verses E-Am

Yesterday was so much easier for me

I knew exactly what I wanted to be

But time when by and by then I didn't realize

That all I had was slipping away

Yesterday's gone so I heard somebody say

Now I am faced with a place I didn't make

I fight with myself just to stay in the middle

But I don't know how much more I can take

I never got the chance to say what was In my head

Now it seems to be too late to try

I wish I could go back to yesterday and live again

Then I could sit back and watch my life go by

Yesterday saw me lose my best friend

He stayed right along side me 'til the end

One thing I learned from him was to never forget yourself

And don't expect the world to greet you with a smile
